Goal: From scratch, design a water-proof and pet-proof version of Catan, inspired by Klaus Teuber’s board game Settlers of Catan, improving the overall experience of the game, along with new contemporary artwork.
All design, concepts, prototyping, artwork, and documentation was completed solely by Eden.
An original solution to the boards expansion of 3-4 players to 5-6 players. Three center pieces slide into the main board, increasing total tile count.
Every player piece and buildable space on the board is magnetized. This feature keeps the board neat and tidy during game play and prevents movement from stray dice or a family pet.

Inspiration
Tiles were painted with many individual layers to provide visual depth and shimmer. Then individually trimmed leaving behind only the pre-etched surfaces with the rubberized liquid proof Plastidip.
