By elevating the center with a three-sided twist, a wave type shape is formed, creating a form that flows from one tile to another. When viewed at an angle, this eliminates the lines between the individual pieces and forms a continuing sea of valleys and peaks. These tiles were designed and produced at a scale for smaller areas of the home such as a backsplash. They create a centerpiece of interest and texture in a unique and engaging way when large features are impractical. This project was later reworked near the end of my BFA seen here.
