Taction is a slipcast ceramic vessel designed to be held using only the hand's natural tension. It was inspired by the observation of Martino Gamper during his lecture at the Art Institute of Chicago, of the chair being one of few objects in our lives that is a negative of ourselves. Taction aims for this same effect as an exploration into forms which may also hold such physical and emotional connections to ourselves as the comfort of your favorite chair.
